A weird bug in the FFA web site; I can leave a review for chapter #5 of Ever After, but chapter #6 keeps telling me that I need to login.

After joking about 'Ever After' in my comment to your 'Interview the Characters' post I went and had a quick look and saw the wrap-up you'd added to the five chapters proper. I'm not quite sure I'd seen that before, and, if so, not sure I've ever commented, so I thought I'd so so here quickly.

First of all, good on you for wrapping things up as best you could; a nice note of professionalism. It not only gives some closure to the story but is also a neat look/remember into what was, for me, the early days of my involvement with this crazy HP fandom thing.

Secondly, I love the final scene. A beautiful way to tie the religion into the story and the bible verse is of course perfect, leaving we readers absolutely warm and content that we leave Harry and Hermione with a bright and rich life ahead of them. Lovely.

(And on the H/G vs H/Hr side of things - you're rolling your eyes at me right now, yes? - I do like the acknowledgement that the 'best' was indeed that which came last. Hmm. Maybe I have 'reviewed' this out-take with you before, that rings a bell. Oh well, it's nice to repeat.)

Good on you for writing and releasing what you could of 'Ever After'. I hope life is treating you and your family well.

well, for Hermione, it was certainly the best.

Thanks for your kind words.

It is a considerable loss to HP fan fiction for you to cease your fine endeavors. I do understand that sometimes a change of activity is attractive and often other considerations compete for ones attention. However there may come a time when your attention drifts back in this direction, so please don't hesitate to scratch that itch if it comes up. I enjoyed this offering and would love to see more, however unlikely that may be. Thanks for writing. W.

To everything there is a season - and my fanfic season has closed, for now. I have some more stuff tucked away that I'll drag out if I get a spare moment.

Come to think of it...this is as good as any place to finish the story.....

Good as ever....sometimes the broad outline/sketch can convey quite a bit without the unnecessary padding and you've got it down to a fine art in this story. Very enjoyable....and great to meet everyone again.

"various varieties of farm filth" ? How very alliteritive *laugh*

> "With difficulty"

Interesting little series of snapshots. Doesn't really need anything more. Covering a lot of time without feeling rushed.

Even though it's incomplete, it's a nice picture you've painted for their futures.

- Very nice, a midlife romance sweat and more than a bit... needy. I'd like to see more of this.

John!!

Good to "hear" from you again. Fun to be reminded of Abelard and Jasmine. I'd like to see Jasmine again. Oh well, I know where to find her if I want to re-read.

Thanks for bringing at least a bit of closure to this.
best wishes!

ps: "which was regrettable, as I’m really good at high dudgeon."
Great line!
