What do you do when you have a story that refuses to be written? A collaboration that was abandoned by the other author? A chapter that you want to write from a story you don't want to write? You stick it in the vault. Here's a few things from my vault - as always, your mileage may vary.
Magic is all about intent, but sometimes ritual carries its own message. After Voldemort's killing curse rebounds on him, Harry picks up Voldemort's yew and phoenix feather wand - and ends up inheriting everything Tom Riddle owns, by right of conquest.
Canon compliant - AU to epilogue
As always, thanks to help from Jeconais and to GardenGirl, a most pleasant beta.
Context makes all the difference - meeting someone from your past in a different context may turn an enemy into a friend - or more.
Nothing is as it seems.
The war is over. Voldemort is dead. Harry survived, Ginny didn't. Life goes on, but some times it takes a while to pick up all of the pieces.

Everyone knows that it was Lily's sacrifice that saved Harry, right?
Not exactly, it turns out -- it was something else entirely.
Fifteen years after These Dreams For those of you who have just twigged to this site - Jeconais conceived of a "trilogy" of stories: All Night Long, Alone and These Dreams, except that he kinda ran out of gas by the time that he finished Alone. I asked him what he was thinking of for the final installment of the trilogy, and he threw out a few ideas. I suggested that we collaborate on the story. You'll find all three parts of the trilogy in Jeconais' subdomain, but I'm listed as co-author on These Dreams. These drabbles are a few stray threads that remained after finishing that story. The collaboration was very pleasant - I suspect that we'll do it again. You'll find These Dreams at this link: http://jeco

The Letters of Summer (TLOS) is a coming of age story. Stories from Sixth (and Seventh) Year ties up loose ends from TLOS. I'd always planned on writing another story set in the TLOS universe where Harry and Hermione lose their respective mates and start over again - in their mid-to-late 40s.
I'd given up hope for ever writing this story, but Brad won a short story on a charity auction, so I set aside a scrap of time to set forth the barest outline of the story - here's the chapters that survive.
