Thank you so much for the conclusion to this story. I really like your writing style. I think it is great that Harry and Gabrielle took the Artzai girls as their adopted daughters. ( I know the adoption isn't official but that is a given!) The chocolate sauce was a nice touch!
Thanks for writing. I look forward to more stories like these! pms

Wow.
Nice.
I liked the bit that Harry's not Super!Harry and just as vulnerable to mistakes as the next guy.

Gabby's attitude of pouncing on Harry is gonna bite her. I like the setup here. :)

Hope Harry is up to the challenge of being a mate. This story rocks.
Good work.

Loved the Umbridge reference... "You’re going to want to break something by the time he finishes the story."

The 'old school friends telling in-jokes' was nicely done.

Kokopelli replied:

She did want to break something - unfortunately, by the time Harry explained it to her, Umbridge was already dead.

As to the old school stuff - Gabrielle really hates that.

The byplay between Harry and Gabby reminds me of a modern version of Audrey Hepburn and Spencer Tracey.

And the superintendent is deriving FAR too much amusement from this...

Kokopelli replied:

Gabby has a very complex relationship with the District Superintendent - think of going to work for your favorite aunt, who has to be a hard-ass to show that she's not playing favorites.

As to the banter, I had to work hard to keep it clean.

It's always good when the characters overpower the author - it makes for good tales!

And this is shaping up nicely!

An excellent concluding chapter. You put in enough detail and information to wrap up loose ends and provide scenes to be turned over in our own minds, what we would do in their place. Personally, not getting out of bed for several days is always a great memory from several occasions.

You have really adapted the Potterverse to your creations well. This entire thread has been a great tale for those who are dying to read about HP but desire a diverged path than what’s expected. It’s creative and well put together with great flow. You have a worldly air to your content and are very inventive with material outside your experiences that add fullness to your stories.

I think that is one reason that I will read your material ahead of the many ficlets that are out there. It’s funny, although there are many gifted authors out there, most of my favorites help each other out. I’m glad this cam out before Ch. 31 of NoFP because I think I would have been torn.

This has been thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you, for sharing this with us.

Well, it took a couple days to be in readable condition, but it was worth the wait. Good work. I'd love to see more in this universe, though i found the ending of this particular episode to be very well done.

Well, if I could read this chapter, I am sure that it is great. If this chapter exists somewhere else, let me know.

another 12 or 25 chapters would be great...

This is almost as bad as "Hope." Things happen too fast and I, as the reader, want the story to last...I feel that you have a 3 chapter story in mind and I have a desire for a 30-40 chapter story.

...Er, I can't see the last chapter. It says 0 words, I don't know why. So, am I doomed to be the only one to never know the ending?

"...or any of the other clichéd, over-used tunes." I love it! I've played more than my share of weddings, and the standards are always the least touching.

one minor nit: "...and insuring that only Wizards and Witches on a very select list" - should be "ensuring." I believe "insuring" is what one does to an automobile, or a house.

Thank you so much for what turned out to be quite the wonderful & unique story. Your orignal premise was inspired, and the chapters that followed were nothing shy of brilliant. I really appreciate the roller coaster ride to which we've been treated. Thanks again!

Kokopelli replied:

When I got married, a childhood friend of mine was my organist - his performance was his gift to us - he selected the music - it was wonderful.

Fixed the nit - it had been caught by another, but I failed to fix it before posting.

My compliments on a delightful warp-up to the story. Bravo!!

I will argue that "Normal is for other blokes, Harry." has to qualify as one of the top understatements of all time. ;)

Bravo! You brought it off without a hitch.

It was nice to have the interlude with Ginny. Some sort of closure...

Wonderful story, It's always a little sad to finish one, but it's also nice as it lets you take a breather in preperation for the next one ;)

I have to admit though that the last paragraph of the story has got to be my favorite out of the whole thing. It gives the entire thing a sense of realism instead of the surreal 'Happily ever after' that so many authors seem to go for, so Excellent work, and I look foreward to reading more of your wonderful stories!

Sincerly,
Manatheron

Nice chappie and a good ending.

Any chance for a sequel to this or something similar?

Also, mark the fic as completed instead of WIP which is its current status.

Kokopelli replied:

If there is a sequel, it will be a drabble, something along the lines of Gabrielle's thoughts at Matzalen's wedding.
