Much nicer transition epilogue. Wish JKR had something like this in the book. Thanks for posting.

Lovely start to a promising story. It's nice to hear from you again. Looking forward to more -- at your convenience (smile)!

Aww, this is so sweet It's hurting my teeth more than the Coke I'm drinking, but I love it.

Hello Kokopelli, This is the third story of yours that I have read and I will be writing to you via email soon but in the meantime. This story has a very good start and I am sure that I will be most eager while waiting for the next chapter. Please get it up and posted soon

Kokopelli replied:

This is a one-shot, stand-alone story - alas.   I no longer have the time to play in the HP world as I used to.

I do have a DH-compliant story that's tempting me, but thus far, I've resisted.

Thanks for you kind words and reading.

Hi! What a promising beginning...waits in hope...! No, really, I hope this is only the first chapter of your take on what happens next, I'd really like to read what happenes to Harry and Ginny, Hermione and Ron in the aftermath.
keep up the great writing!

Koko baby!

Thanks for thaking a little time off from your haitus and giving us this little gem.

I checked the reviews to gain a little insight from your responses and noticed that this was only a one-shot. You might want to click on the "Completed" radio button 'cause it says WIP as of now.

On to the review:

I always wanted to know what happened right after the end of DH, and I think your version was very nice and calming after so much action and death.

It was nice to see Harry able to have some down time with his girl and without all the eventual hubbub that is bound to follow.

I missed your writings and hope you aren't going to stay away between fics as long as you have.

We missed you, baby!

This is what the 'next chapter' should have started out with in the 'Deadly Hollows'.

It will be interesting in see how Harry and Ginny learn about each other and learn how to 'relate' to each other.

I look forward to your next chapter.

Good to see you are still writing - I have always enjoyed your stories. Was wondering if this was a one shot, or if you were going to continue it.

Thanks for sharing the story.

Kokopelli replied:

I have no plans - at the moment - for this being anything other than a one-shot.

Nice one that leaves a lot of options for follow-ons. It deals nicely with the end of DH and gives us some solid foundation for the Epilogue.

Bravo!!

Very pleasant reunion scene. Your writings always have a nice sense of peace about them, even when there's a lot of drama. Thanks!

Lovely little story. There was really an empty space for something like this at the end of book 7, I thought, and this would have served nicely. Thanks for writing.

Well done! I always enjoy the "feel" you paint with your stories. This is just a right mix of weariness, hope, and living in the moment. Plus, your subtleties ("I am *not* calling them 'mudblood'", a nod and an eyebrow) bring the characters and scenes to life very well.

I really enjoyed this piece. It was very satisfying to think about the new beginning that these characters now face after the end of the last chapter in DH. I especially enjoyed this look at Ginny, and hearing her thoughts about the past year.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

An interesting little moment in the lives of Harry and Ginny. I do think that JKR went a bit too quickly to 'and they all lived happily ever after'. There is a lot of time between then and now and it would be interesting to have seen how the battered remains of our heroes tried to come to terms with the end of the War.

I think that you characterised Harry, Ginny and Kreatcher correctly (at least the Harry and Ginny from HBP and DH who I often feel are somewhat different to the PS to OotP versions of the characters). Anyway, my problems with that aside, you did a very good job. This is a nice, thoughtful story that is well worth the time reading.

Isn't it so Harry to dance around the fact that he only came back to save his friends. After all, that is the act of a hero and I think Harry has difficulty seeing himself in that light.

Nice and sweet: a pleasant alternative to the angst so many people think should be heaped on their heads at this stage.

Not to say there might not be angst down the road, but this is a solid beginning which should stand them in good stead.
