Well Remus is very busy. Instead of not enough work he has an over abundance. I'm so glad that Alice and Frank are well. It is great that Harry has a chance to meet his Godmother this time. I hope Remus can find Harry quickly. I hope the Solicitor is Ted Tonks. I look forward to more. pms

This is just an aside. The Crow at the end of this chapter, should have been a Raven, smarter than Crows or Magpies and MUCH SMARTER than Owls.

Ahh, I do love your storybuilding. Loads of interesting information here, I'm looking forward to see how this pans out. And no, I dodn't think this would be a complete rewrite, more that Alice not being tortured into madness gives me hope that both Neville and Harry will grow up feeling safe and nurtured (more so now, with Alice as Harry's godmother). I know your focus is on Remus, and I must say I like what I see.

Interesting start.

I am wondering why Remus would have had to make a whole pot of coffee, though. Back in the eighties it would have been more likely the other way around in my experience - you would make a pot of tea, but a single cup of (instant) coffee.

Now this is a definitely different take on things and I reckon the way matters are progressing that a lot of Dumbledore's plans are going to be quietly upended before Harry ever arrives at Hogwarts. This is a fun ride and I'm quite enjoying it.
