Reading this story for the second time. I noticed that you keep mentioning a Norwegian Ridgeback in Harry's recollection of the first task of the Tri-Wizard tournament. He went against the Hungarian Horntail. Norbert (Hagrid's baby) was a Norwegian.

Much of Harry Potter fanfiction uses canon magic and modifies it for specific use.
This chapter is one of the finest in the genre developing wholely new major chunks of magic that only vagely refers to canon magic.
It sets a standard for how well developed such new magic should be.
Just excellent in all ways.

Just as a matter of interest, not that I have any qualms with it at all, merely curiosity...
Why are you using the Narnian addressing of humans for the Snow Dragons?

That was simply amazing. It's past one in the morning where I am though, so I better stop here. I loved the dragons, they reminded me of a cross between C.S. Lewis and Anne McCaffrey. The image of the magic inside of Harry when they were incorporating his sentries reminded me of Tamora Pierce. The sentry concept and they way they talked to him, as well as the charm for his krulach and the parseltongue thing were very original. All of these things were fantastic. I'm very excited about this story, and can't wait to finish reading it. Drat, if I didn't have to go somewhere early tomorrow...

I love dragons. This was an excellent chapter that included magical creatures in Harry's life. After the Tri-Wizard Tournament dragons have been an important factor in Harry's life. I'm so glad you found a way to include them. Also the spider from the cupboard in Harry's childhood, Fawkes in Harry's 2nd year and 4th years and the bat with the power to reaach out and sense danger approaching. Really great imagery. It is sad to think Abelard is not going to live long. However even long lived wizards will not live forever. A lesson in life. Thanks for writing.

Great chapter. Having magical dragons rather then just winged animals is one of my favorite
things.
