Good chapter, thanks for sharing it with us.

*laughs* I love that that Harry and Lily are sharing each other's dreams. I rather imagine their both learning things about each other that mothers and sons don't normally learn. ;) I like using purely non-magical means to destroy the horcruces as it seems so appropriately fitting.
I can't wait 'til the next chapter 'cause Lily vs. Ginny is going to be great fun to read. I suspect Ginny is going to find a lot of her thinking sharpened by it and I suspect Lily is going to gain an appreciation for Ginny and what Harry sees in her.

Reading your A/N is nearly as much fun as the chapters.
Good story, even if I am reading it after being blown away by Deathly Hallows. I appreciate your Lily and Hermione.

Love your non-disclaimer, absolutely cherish Hermione's view on Latin - and find the story wonderfully amusing. How long will this H/L switching go on? Until LV is defeated? Anyway, I enjoy following this path of yours, and are awaiting the final goal...
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers! :)

Hey John,
Thanks, amazon hasn't arrived yet, and this is a good distraction to avoid reading Parakletos' review in Livejournal...
Turning into a nice little short story.
best,
...art (gotta go, my wife is giving me the "I want breakfast")

Well this method seems to be safer than crushing and incinerating with magic; plus there is a certain resonance to destroying part of voldemort using muggle means. I enjoyed the chapter. Tanks for writing. W.

Thank you for writing.

Lovely chapter to help me get over the line being far too long at the bookstore for me to get any sleep before work on time in the morning. stupid priorities. One microscopic nit to pick: it's Lara Croft, not Laura. Thank you very much for posting; as always, an utter joy to read your work!

Interesting start! How on earth is Harry going to deal with having his mother LITERALLY in his head? And how will SHE deal with being in her son's head? She knew it would happen ... but I bet she wasn't prepared! LOL

Excellent chapter. The idea of Harry being Lily's Horcrux has been in my head for a long time but I don't know how to write well so...
I liked what you did and will be waiting for what comes next.
Great work.

Interesting start, John, but I fear I must correct your A/N on Las Cruces, NM.
Cruz is singular, Cruces is plural. Las Cruces is Spanish, not Latin...

Lilly with the Horcrux? Interesting premise - it appears you are heading down an alternate path.
Thanks for sharing the story.

This is interesting and has a lot of potential. Keep up the great writing!

Heh, what makes Hermione (or you, I suppose) think that "Horcrux" is a latin word? After all, in Rowling's universe, the Egyptians, at least, had a magical tradition that went back to well before the founding of Rome. There could well be other non-latin traditions she hasn't told us about. "Episkey" for example appears to derive from the Greek "episkeyazo".
Interesting premise, and a story that deserves more comment than this side note. I hope to write more once I've given it a little thought.

"It’s the issue that first got me in trouble at PhoenixSong.net" -- really? I mean, if it's a confirmed *rule* of Latin grammar, then there really should be no discussion required, should there? Was it a "JKR can do no wrong" or "we will follow canon (regardless of its actual correctness)" sort of thing?
Nice 'best of chums' talk between Harry and Hermione, viz the chat on reproducing Weasleys and the like. I'm with Harry, though, on the matter of asking for his permission first. It would have taken a few hours, maybe a day, to speak to both him and Lily ... would the delay have made such a difference?
I continue to ponder the reality that is JKR's world, in that 'souls' can be measured, quantified, detected, like you have here. It would be so nice to *know* that one's essential being will persevere beyond death! That being the definition of a 'soul', I believe. I'm surprised I've never come across a fic which deals with wizards' reactions - particularly muggleborns - once they find this out. A couple of Dr. T's stories addressed the issue (the Dursleys asking Harry about life-after-death, him replying that there was *something*, given the existence of ghosts) but I haven't come across anything that discusses the connotations of the existence of *souls*. Imagine ... in the muggle world one of the biggest questions there is deals with life after death, and souls ... then you get a letter, go to Hogwarts and discover ghosts and spells that can measure 'souls'. As simple as that the question is answered!

Now we are even. I posted H/M first, and you've posted a Lily>>Harry ahead of me.
Of course this is very different from mine, but fundamentally...
Good work on the horcruces/horcruxes conflict.
I greatly look forward to future chapters.
(This is in no way to be interpreted as a request for future chapters in any advanced timetable beyond your existing plans. I will enjoy them when they come.)
Cheers!
