Continuing to enjoy your unfolding slant on Veela magic.

I wonder if Veela power could be 'the power he knows not', guaranteed to slay a dark lord in one swoop? After all, we know it's "love" which Harry will be employing in book 7 against Voldemort. Although the Veela ability is more lust/allure than 'love'.

Enjoyed the bit about two cores for the 'daughters of the dawn' but I could see how one could also choose to explain how the Veela core is really not of much use for regular magic and vice versa - like AC and DC power generators - one will work for a DC motor, the other is useless, etc. Otherwise a lot of Veela out there are twice as powerful as regular wizards?

Is Fleur dead at this stage? Daphne's "maternal grandmother" referred to in the past tense?

So glad that you are back - a very enjoyable chapter. I am impressed with the gentle way that you had Harry and Gabrielle tamper with but NOT damage or try to over control - It show them as even more caring and kind than ever.
